You’re conversational in English. And what a journey it's been for you already.
You’ve studied for years.
You may even work, live, and socialise in English or desire to.
You understand lots already.
And yet…
Something still feels missing.
You know you sound “fine,” but you don't always feel good or like yourself.
Perhaps this leaves you feeling smaller in English.
Parts of your personality disappear.
Overthinking what to say, or what you said or didn't say.
Maybe you get lost in comparisons sometimes.
You might even keep quiet instead of contributing.
You feel capable, but tight. Restricted.
It’s confusing. Exhausting even.
Because technically… your English is good.
So why does it still feel like effort? And uncomfortable?

What often goes unnoticed
My experience has taught me that your language itself isn't the sole problem anymore. But, the same tired solution which is offered is to learn more English as though accumulating more will solve everything.
Learn more vocabulary and I'll become more confident, right?
I've seen and felt in my clients how overwhelming that can be - to be stuck in the a constant loop of learning like a beginner. The same methods. Repeated. Endlessly.
You know the language well enough, but when it comes to speaking in the real world, something gets stuck.
What if when you reach a conversational level, it becomes something trickier to identify?
Sometimes, it seems less about vocabulary & "fluency"…
...and more about what happens inside your body & mind when you begin to speak.
Once you know enough English, remaining in a "learner" mindset can keep you stuck. And nobody tells you that communicating, especially when you feel the pressure at an advanced level, is a full mind-body process.
The gap we bridge together
There's a gap between language knowledge and communicative flow in your real speaking context.
That means you have the knowledge of the language but you feel stuck when you speak it in the real world.
For many advanced speakers that I've worked with over the past 15 years, something shifts within when they communicate in English.
A tightening and restriction in expression.
A monitoring of the self.
A quiet self-editing.
A loss of self.
The pressure becomes intense and builds. It lives on in the background, sometimes even unknowingly.
You might become more careful.
More aware of how you sound.
More focused on “getting it right.”
In your head and not present.
Not fully grounded in who you are.
And over time, that pressure can start to block who you can truly be in English. It just becomes a normality.
Learning more English seems like the only way out.
Perhaps it's not solely down to your language use at all, which is what most people, in my experience, default to.
"I must improve my English!"
"I need to be more fluent."
"I'll be confident when I get the certificate."
"If I get my C2 certificate, all my problems will be solved!"
What if it's actually about the fact that it's harder to feel steady and grounded inside your real-world speaking contexts, something which many language-learning environments don't prepare you for.
Traditional language-learning systems don’t really address that part, but I do, bridging the gap between fluency and real-world communication that feels like you - from the inside out.
Imagine this instead
You speak without overly rehearsing, entering with trust that you can handle any conversation.
You join in conversations freely, even if it feels slightly uncomfortable.
You lose your words and make mistakes - and recover calmly without attaching it to your identity.
You express opinions and ideas without overexplaining.
You share your personality even in English.
You’re present in conversations instead of monitoring yourself or being in your head.
You feel freer.
That’s what we build inside Beyond English.
~ Paula, Spain, 2026
It is created to be:
• Deeply Reflective
• Emotionally Expressive
• Habitually Courageous
• Surprisingly Energising
• Validating through Shared Experience
• Spacious and Open
It’s not your average speaking club or a grammar course. It's not about performing who you're not.
It’s guided communication practice rooted in:
Awareness → Regulation → Expression → Integration
Each session is carefully curated.
We begin slowly... checking in, grounding, journalling, casual chat.
We explore themes that affect how you show up when speaking.
We move into deeper facilitated discussion, sharing life stories and reflections.
We close with integration and reflections.
This is not random conversation.
It is structured, intentional development for your English communication. We build internal safety...
Because safety allows the capacity to trust yourself.
And trusting yourself leads you to freedom in expression.
I'm not tip-toeing on that tightrope anymore. I'm more secure than I was a few months ago.

Why This Approach Exists
I created Beyond English because I kept seeing the same pattern. Brilliant, thoughtful, fluent people shrinking in conversations.
I noticed a similar pattern - people with a good level of English feeling unsteady, feeling disonnected, and feeling stuck.
As an English teacher, I saw that fluency wasn’t the issue.
As a mindfulness practitioner, I recognised the freeze response and the link between thought patterns and communication.
As a communication coach, I understood the relational pressure people feel when they speak.
As a breathwork facilitator, I noticed the link between the breath and grounded, steady communication.
So I stopped focusing on “improving English" and shifted focus to helping people relax inside it. To giving the permission to fully be themselves.
This space blends:
• Organic language refinement
• Breathing & grounding techniques
• Communication techniques for the real-world
• Deep conversational practice for more expressive articulation
• Reflective coaching & journalling for self-reflection
• Personalised feedback
• Community
It’s the integration of all of my work and it’s deeply intentional.
